To add on to Chris's reply. A form is the starting point for an incredible number of interactions. From people to processes, forms are the de facto means to gather and submit information. As we see the evolution of the multimodal interface and semantic web applications, Wufoo is well positioned to be a powerful tool.

Keep up the good work guys.

Ziggy,

A lot of people need forms built, and developers usually charge a lot of money to build them.

We thought the same thing until It took the 3 of us 6 solid months of programming to launch. It then takes awhile for a product to generate enough revenues to support 3 people. If we were bootstrapping, it would have taken much longer to launch, and we wouldn't have been able to work solely on Wufoo for the last year. We're happy with the decision to trade equity for time.

why in god's name would anyone give money for a site that builds forms? and why would you need any money? one or two guys can hack that out on their own to see if it generates anything. who needs 100K or investors for that???

Great post about Angels! It's definitely tricky to find the right balance between an angel investor being too hands-on versus being totally hands off. The hands-off situation might look more appealing at first, but then you're missing out on the value provided by an interested third party.
