Just a reminder that today is the due date for your applications to Y Combinator’s Winter 2008 program. You know where we stand on the situation. Best thing to ever happen to us. So gather your brilliant, brilliant friends, read the rules, and fill out that application by 10pm EST.
For those of you with doubts, please, please…open yourself to the possibility that something awesome can happen to you outside of that dark gray cubicle of yours—that you have nothing to lose when all you’re asking for is a chance to show what you’re made of. In the end, it’s still up to you whether you’ll go or not and how can you make a real decision if you’ve never even met Paul and his gang of YC misfits?
Believe in magic, you honkies. Life is short and today is the day to make your move. Good luck to all and we hope to see you on the flip side.
Pretty excited about this, I’m sure it is an amazing ride.
What if I believe in magic but don’t have a co-founder? =)
Being in school seems like the ideal way to meet people to do a Y Combinator startup, or any startup for that matter.
Older you get (late 20s even) -> higher chance your co-workers have wives / husbands / babies / responsibilities / etc -> harder to find cool people to do startups with.
Hey, nothing uncool about having a wife or children, but I understand what you’re saying about it changing things. :-)
Matthew - hehe. They are cool, actually.
Just not cool enough to feed their babies ramen noodles while Daddy does a startup! :)
What if I’m not a honkey
“Today is the Day”?
That’s the title of a Cranberries song!
