Ben has got a nice review of the code that’s under the hood of some popular web companies like flickr, del.icio.us and skype. I was most surprised/disturbed to find out that flickr still uses nested tables and spacer.gifs.

Now, I heard they did implement some of the ideas used in Dunstan Orchard’s flickr version used in the 2005 SXSW Flash vs. HTML game show panel, but I guess not enough.
